What you’ll love and hate
Expect splendid meals featuring local apple juice and a cozy sake bar, perfect after a long day. The private onsen offers a breathtaking view, especially during winter with snow falling.
Limited English proficiency from staff may pose communication challenges. Despite high expectations, some dining options closed too early, leaving few choices for late-night bites.

A Delightful Escape with Scenic Views
I loved the breathtaking mountain view from our twin room and the cozy atmosphere of the lobby. The private onsen was a highlight, offering a unique winter experience amidst falling snow. Don't miss the incredible dinners included, which truly felt like a culinary adventure!

Had a blast at Tsubakino! The private onsen with a superb view was a highlight, especially while the snow fell around us. Breakfast was an excellent traditional spread. The traditional tatami beds weren’t my favorite, but for a night, it was a solid experience.

i woudl have loved this place, truly, but the room had a strange odor that was just obnoxious. and i mean, the beds were just futons on the floor, as if they ran out of proper beds. after all, a hotel of this caliber should definitely be rolling out the red carpet instead of making me feel like a regular guest.

The hot springs here are incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating.
Sadly, our room had a strange odor that lingered throughout our stay. We mentioned it to the staff, but they couldn't offer a solution. Additionally, the pricing felt excessive considering the limited dining options available on-site.

pleasant stay but minor improvements needed
The hot springs offered a truly revitalizing experience, perfect after a long day. Service was exceptional, with each staff member displaying genuine warmth and attentiveness. Our Japanese-style room provided a lovely atmosphere, and the breathtaking mountain view was an absolute highlight of our stay.
While everything was generally great, some of the dining options felt limited.
